Tending log 3) Creating a garden

Another door across from the entrance to the doctor's office leads to the backyard. There is a small cabin where the caretaker Moe lives, and there is a vegetable garden where various crops are grown. Surprisingly, there is a fountain here. Moe was able to learn from records from the time when this place was used as a doctor's office (when it was a gathering place for the secretive first generation Wiccans) that this backyard was another community space.

They grow a variety of herbs, especially rosemary and basil. Rosemary is for rituals, and basil is for exorcisms and witchcraft. They also grow grapes, but Moe didn't actually grow them himself since he was young. Another Wiccan elder who lived nearby helped him grow the grapes. He grows blueberries.

They grow grapes to make wine and ale during Sabbath meetings, but they also grow grapes to experience putting grapes on T-shirts during the Grimoire Passing Ceremony. This is a tradition passed down from the elders who were college students in the 70s and 80s, and has become a ritual process. They started studying spirituality through occult club activities, and some even studied shamanism and were possessed by spirits. There are also cases where they awakened their spirituality after going abroad.

Moe loves carrots. She learned how to grow carrots from seeds and seedlings, and she grew them herself. She thinks that the rustling sound of carrot leaves swaying in the wind is rhythmic and sounds like a beat. When you hear the sound of carrots along with the strange chirping of a bird that she nicknames DJ Bird, it sounds like a minimal house beat.
